Initiative Center to Support Social Action (ISAR) Ednannia

ISAR Ednannia was established in 1997 and officially registered in 1999. “Ednannia” stands for “unity” which is the organization's philosophy and mission. ISAR Ednannia systematically trains community foundations based on their needs, challenges and trends in civil society. Currently, the implementation of the decentralization reform in Ukraine leads to growing influence of local authorities and local self-governments. ISAR tries to implement community foundations as motors in this development, since they already have knowledge, skills and instruments for community work. Still, the organization faces the challenge of engaging people and making community foundations sustainable.
