Partners Albania for Change and Development
Partners Albania is an independent Albanian NPO established in 2001, working to support civil society and facilitate inter-sector cooperation in order to strengthen democratic institutions and advance economic development.
Partners Albania is a member of the Code of Standards for Civil Society Organizations and plays the role of Secretariat of the Code through the National Resource Centre for Civil Society in Albania.
Partners Albania is a member of Partners Network, a partnership of 19 independent, local organizations in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East working for peaceful and democratic change.
The four programmatic areas of PA are: Philanthropic Activity and Supporting Infrastructure; Enabling Environment and Sustainable Development of CSOs; Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation; Participatory, Transparent and Accountable Participatory Governance.
Even if there are no community foundations as yet, Partners Albania is leading and facilitating the discussion among CSOs and other stakeholders to introduce CFs in Albania as new models of community support, as well as providing capacity-building support for organisations and informal groups that aim to function as community foundations. This could lead to the emergence of community foundations in the future.
