Unleashing passions in Romania - Guide to Community Foundations published

Until recently, ‘community’ was a word devoid of meaning in Romania. In the past ten years 16 community foundations have been established there, and in the coming year three or four more will become active.  Created by local people, for local people, community foundations embrace almost 50% of the country’s population and have helped give the meaning back to the word ‘community’.

This Guide, the fifth in our series, describes the evolution of the community foundation movement in Romania and provides a wealth of facts and figures, describes the critical role of the sustained work of a support initiative, and tells real and passionate stories of the difference being made on people’s lives.
