Roots and Wings Foundation

The Roots and Wings Foundation (R&WF) was registered in late 2014 to foster the development of communities, philanthropy and the media in Hungary. R&WF's work focuses on the Community Foundation Support Program (KözösALAPON in Hungarian) with the goal to empower people to act for the common good. Also, the R&WF promotes 'donor circles' to bring people with a philanthropic purpose together in order to support worthy causes. In 2017, R&WF supported four community foundations with grants and development assistance. The organisation plans to develop eight fully-fledged community foundations until 2022, reaching about one million people.
